[Canon XTi Rebel] No postwork.

Discovered this interesting effect while taking pictures of my computer with all the lights in the room turned off.  With the Canon Rebel XTi (digital SLR), I could focus the shot and then take the shot.  The shutter would shut for a few seconds before it completed taking the pic (because the light source in the room wasn’t very good, and I was shooting without a flash).  During those few seconds, I found that while trying to hold the camera perfectly steady (which I couldn’t do, it was shaking just a bit) – it created some lighting patterns in the picture.  And then I messed around with shaking the camera intentionally in different directions, creating these cool effects.  Below is a photo of the side of my box, and then a similar photo with shaking the camera a bit more.

[Canon XTi Rebel] No postwork.

I built my custom box originally in November of ‘07, but has seen many changes and upgrades already, so there are just a few of the original parts still left.  More pics and full rig specs soon.

(Also, sorry for the late posting this week – my internet has been out since Saturday…hopefully, no more downtimes for a while.)

I recently upgraded from Vue 6 Pro Studio to Vue 7 Infinite – my first e-on product in the professional line.  Vue 7 Infinite has it all – from entire ecosystems of plants blowing in the wind, ecosystem painting with my Wacom Intuos 3, faster rendering (taking advantage of all 4 cores of my quad), and much much more.  I haven’t even brushed the surface of this amazing program (still need to read the 600+ pg. manual).  Alot of things different from Vue 6, and alot of features that only the Vue professional line has.  I’ll post more about Vue 7 Infinite soon…
