(RoW August 6 – 12)
I created Kirkcolm for e-on software’s 2007 3D Environment Competition. Although I didn’t place, it was still alot of fun.
There were some rules with this contest – and one of the biggest (at least for me) was that you couldn’t do any postwork on your finished image. I played around a bit with some post-processing effects directly in Vue 6, but didn’t do anything in any other programs (I added the signature later in Photoshop after the contest was over).
Here’s some stats on my scene:
- 275 Objects
- 1,165,185,899 Polygons
- Global Illumination
- No postwork
All in all, it is an image that I’m very satisfied with. Check out what other artists on C3D had to say:
- The same outstanding quality work we are accustom to, from you my friend. Very beautiful. – Joe Battle
- Beautiful,very good work!!Well done! – Benoit Gaszkowiak
- Wow. Truly excellent. The trees look so meticulously placed. – Arthur Dorety
- Really nice and very realistic! – Gwenolye
Hopefully, I’ll be able to make this into a print soon (for all you that want to hang it on your wall). Thanks for looking!
Reminds me of something we’d see in England!
wow, that is really nice!
Your extra work really paid off! I like it! Sherry
Coolness, Brady!
