(RoW July 23 – 29)
I created this image for a workshop in the 2d forum on C3D. The point of this workshop was to create a realistic brick wall with graffiti in a 2d app( like Photoshop). Then you had to map the finished texture map onto a rectangle in Vue.
After creating the brick wall texture in a texture creation program, I painted on all my graffiti and splatters in Photoshop with my Intuos 3 Wacom tablet. When I was finished, I mapped it onto a rectangle in Vue 6. In Vue’s material editor, I added the bump map I created from the brick wall so it would give the wall a displacement like effect (not entirely smooth).
Then, to have a bit of fun, I created a gangster in Poser and imported him into Vue to stand by my wall (figure is rendered in Vue with the Poser Shader Tree). I added a couple props and then worked on the lighting. I used Global Illumination with one point light (the sun).
I didn’t do any postwork on this scene. Enjoy!
Wow Brady, I didn’t know you were so talented with a graffiti can! LOL
Nicely done integrating your 2D work
Wow, no postwork!
very nice!
