(RoW May 28 – June 3)
I was mostly experimenting with modifying plants in Vue and playing in Corel Painter 3 in this scene and image. Also, there are some really cool layer materials that come with Vue 6 that make the terrain look more realistic and not so smooth. I used a custom volumetric atmosphere I created and was surprised that the render time wasn’t longer.
I created the terrain and then textured it with an ecosystem of my modified plant and layer material. After placing the futuristic building in the scene and applying my custom atmosphere (uses Global Illumination), the image took 1h49′57″ to render.
After the render, I put the image through a couple filters in Painter and then painted over the image with a few digital oil brushes using my Wacom tablet. In Photoshop, I added my signature to finish it off. Enjoy!
Very spooky and cool! Good job.
