(RoW April 30 – May 6)

I created Laser Girl for the challenge “My Hero” at C3D. The idea for this challenge is to render a scene of a superhero and/or villain in an action scene and postwork the special effects into it.

First, I posed Victoria 4.1 in Poser and conformed the shirt, hair, and laser prop. Then I imported her into Vue 6. I used the Poser Shader Tree to render her in Vue. There are 5 lights in the scene (1 directional, 1 point, and 3 spotlights (1 of them being volumetric)). After I created the scene, I rolled the camera 5 degrees to add a twist to the scene.

After rendering the image, I painted the laser beam in Photoshop with my Wacom Tablet, made some lighting adjustments, blurred the image, and added my border and signature.
