(RoW April 16 – 22)

Hiroki vs. Ryuichi is another image that uses my method of cell shading in Vue. It’s a great technique and I really enjoy using it in my scenes.

I posed the characters and customized the materials in Poser. In Vue, I imported the characters and set up the scene. There are 2 spotlights in the scene (one right above each figure) and one directional light (colored gray).

I rendered the scene in Vue 6 with the Poser Shader Tree. The render didn’t take very long at all, and then I moved into Photoshop. I painted on some grunge markings and other effects with my Intuos 3 Wacom tablet, adjusted the lighting a little, and added the border and signature.
