Tell Me a Story

(RoW Jan. 8 – 14)

tell_storyI created this image for my sister, Miss Erin. Today is her birthday, so go on over to her blog and give her some birthday wishes! Happy Birthday Erin!!

All of the props and figures were imported from Poser, and set up in Vue. I started this scene with Vue 5, but the program constantly crashed because of my computer’s lack of memory (RAM). Vue 6 has better memory management and also has a new feature that lets you purge all of your memory (clean it up, keeping it from defragmenting). So with Vue 6, I was able to finish the scene without it crashing. The render took about 2-3 hours, and then it was time for a bit of postwork.

In Photoshop, I adjusted the lighting, blurred the image a bit, and painted on some dirt and rock on the book (to make it look like the castle was indeed coming out of the book). I also added my signature somewhere where it couldn’t easily be found. Can you find it?

Thanks for looking and enjoy!
