Day 8:
Grandpa’s Bugatti is my second entry for the Old Time Challenge on C3D. In this scene, I used another car I downloaded from DMI Cars. Before I set up the scene, I spent alot of time re-texturing the entire car.
One of the hardest things to do in this scene was creating the ruts in the road where cars would drive. To get this effect, I created a dune terrain, erased all the dunes except for two, and inverted the terrain (like turning it inside out). This created two ruts in the ground, and then all I had to do was resize the terrain until it was the same size as the Bugatti. That done, I applied a dirt texture and a rock EcoSystem on the road. I also used two EcoSystems for the fields.
This image took about 3 hours to render. I then moved into Photoshop to create the old look. Once again, I used the folded/scratched paper method to make it look old and worn. I also changed the colors to be a sepia tone and blurred the overall image slightly.
Thanks for looking!
It looks really cool, Brady!

I like this one A LOT! M
