Combat Patrol

combat_patrolI created Combat Patrol in honor of a friend that I’ve made on C3D in the past year: Hazem Zoom (Zoom is a nickname- I won’t give away his full name here). He has become one of my best friends in the digital art world. Hazem is a very talented artist, and excels at creating 3d models. The aircraft in this image (Su-37) was modeled by him. I textured it in Vue 5 Pro Studio.

Combat Patrol is a fairly simple scene, but very detailed. The cloud layer was the hardest thing to get looking right (fluffiness). I added the after-burner flames and motion blur in Photoshop. Thanks for looking!
