(RoW July 10 – 16)

This image was my last (3rd) entry for the Underwater Challenge. Warning: scene contains Violence (blood, etc.). Is it Over? was created with Poser 6 and Vue 5. In Poser, I posed the figures fighting one another. I then imported that scene file into Vue. Again, the water density was hard to create, but finally got what I wanted. It was easier this time though, since I had worked previously on 2 other underwater scenes. Then came the blood. I couldn’t make the blood shiny, or liquidy. It needed to be sorta like a cloud of smoke, except underwater. So, I mixed and mixed materials for quite a while, and came up with this. Notice that the man is cut on the leg, the octopus on one of the tentacles and the head.

I did a bit of postwork after the render in Photoshop (blur, smudges, etc.)

   Good job on the murky look, Brady. I have to admit, I can’t really tell where the cut on the octopus or the man is because of the cloudiness of the water. But it looks cool anyways!
