Ever since I left on a 3-4 week vacation this month, I have been wanting to post this image. Unfortunately, I could not get our laptop hooked up to any kind of wireless. But, finally, I made it a priority, stopped at my cousin’s library, and now have wireless. Also, I’ll be taking a little break this month from creating images, so I’ll see you all again sometime in June!
Bridge to the Temple was a very fun image to create. I was browsing the Internet sometime before I left on the trip, and I came across a Japanese modeler’s website that contained alot of cool oriental models (it was a tad hard to read anything on the site, though- as it was all in Japanese!). I looked at a couple and told myself, “I really need to create a scene with these models!!” So I set to work with the same atmosphere I used in Japanese Sunset (I just changed a few things).
I focused mostly on creating realistic terrains. Vue 5 Esprit’s terrain modeler is amazing and alot of fun to use once you know what you’re doing. I also worked on rendering the image in different formats. Thus, the widescreen.
Thanks for looking!
WOW! I love the bridge!! It looks like it came right out of a book!
Sadness, I will miss you terrably while you are gone from your blog and website.
Just don’t let your sister get ANY ideas.
I guess I will live though..

I really like that one too! It has an aura of Oriental-ness surrounding it. . . .
Brady — take a look at this. When I saw it tonight, I thought of you.
