(RoW April 10 – 16)

You’re Never Alone in the Jungle is composed of over 20 real species of plant life which all exist in parts of the world. Over 1.2 million polygons make up this scene (the render time for this image was about 50 minutes).

I started this scene with a bright tropical atmosphere that looked all right, but didn’t give the feel that I wanted for a jungle. So I changed the atmosphere drastically by adding a thick haze/fog and dimming the sun light quite a bit. I also added global illumination to the image, giving the scene more lifelike shadows.

After my 3-4 hours of putting the scene together, it was the computer’s turn. This is the final render.
